Most of the systems are now back up and running again.
When the IT network was rebuilt, various improvements were made to increase security and provide better data protection.
To this end, we have introduced EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response) software to proactively monitor cyber attacks.
The cloud services and the website www.hugwi.ch were not affected by the attack and are running normally.
We apologize for any inconvenience and delays in this regard.
On Wednesday, August 14, 2024, Hug-Witschi AG was hit by a criminal cyber attack.
This affected our internal servers. Our internal ICT specialists have taken measures together with external experts.
We are working intensively to make all systems available again as quickly as possible.
The professional attack also resulted in the loss of data. We are investigating which customers and individuals were affected. Initial measures have been implemented and others will follow.
The relevant authorities have been involved.
